2025 Kids - Beginner & Intermediate
For kids just starting out, capoeira is all about discovering movement, rhythm, and play. At this stage, children learn the basics. The ginga, simple kicks and escapes, and fun acrobatic moves that build balance and coordination. They also get to experience the music by clapping, singing, and following the beat of the berimbau. With time and practice, kids grow more confident in the roda (the circle where capoeira is played) and begin to understand the respect and community that come with the art.
On average, children spend 1–4 years in this stage before moving into advanced training.
